Osthelia started as one person refusing to accept that this is
just how esport has to be. Today it's a handful of us, building
the alternatives we wish already existed:
free, easy to use, open to everyone, and shaped by the
communities that use them - not built to squeeze money out of them.
We can't fix everything. But we can build our own corner of it,
the way it should have been from the start.
I got tired of watching the esport I love turn into a machine
for money, drama, and bullshit. So instead of just complaining
about it, I started building something else.

Your gender, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation,
or disability is nobody's business but yours.
No one should have to wonder if they belong here. There's room for everyone.
We won't pretend constant drama, betting platforms, and
communities built to extract money are just "how it is."
Not everything that works is worth building.
Competing, learning, and being part of a community
shouldn't depend on your wallet.
Not everything belongs behind a paywall.
Osthelia isn't one project — it's everything gravitating around it. Tools, and spaces built one at a time, to slowly become the esport we actually want to see.
